Belong is a therapy service for communication disorders and challenges. Lisa is the owner and a passionate speech-language pathologist who loves working with people of all ages. The best way to find out is to try! I offer a free consultation phone call to meet with you and hear about your needs, and answer any questions you may have. Schedule with me in the contact link.
-
At the first appointment, Lisa will review completed intake forms and listen to concerns and answer questions. She will also discuss policies, discuss a treatment approach, and conduct any assessments needed. Any initial assessments used in this session are based upon individual needs and speech language therapy history. Any remaining time will be used to dynamically address areas of need.

Once the clinical relationship is well established, transition from in-person to virtual may be a good option for families with demanding schedules. Teletherapy requires a reliable internet connection, a computer with a webcam, as well as a quiet space to conduct sessions. Practically speaking, engaging in remote therapy can be highly motivating for some, while others may find it difficult. Sessions are designed to use a combination of online materials as well as items from your home.
-
Therapy appointments can be scheduled by email or telephone. Prior to attending the first appointment, clients will be sent intake forms. Forms are completed online through a secure client portal and reviewed with the clinician during the first session.
-
Appointments may be canceled via email or phone. Appointments must be canceled at least 24 hrs in advance of the session. Otherwise, the payer is charged the full session rate of the missed appointment.

Private pay refers to paying out of pocket, as my services aren’t associated with any health insurance companies.
-
Cash, check, or venmo payment is due at the time of service.

Often insurance plans will reimburse for my services at the “out-of-network” provider rate. The best thing you can do is call and ask your insurance company how much they will reimburse.

A superbill is a detailed invoice outlining the therapy services a client received. It is used by clients who seek reimbursement from their insurance company for a provider who is not currently in their network. The client submits the superbill directly to their insurance. Call your insurance company ahead of time to learn more about your specific coverage.
